More about

run coaching

Have you been toying with the idea of running a marathon?  Or maybe you want to PR a 5k?  Maybe you want to qualify for Boston or just learn how to train the right way?  Even if your goal is to simply feel comfortable walking a few miles, I got you.

Mission

Run coaching for everyone.  Some coaches to choose to only work with more elite athletes, but I love helping everyone.  From someone looking to run a sub 3 marathon to someone wanting to walk a 5k...  it's all here.

With my run coaching – you get a personalized 4 week program that is based on where you are now and where you want to be.   We work towards that PR or that race until you cross that finish line and crush that goal.  We only do 4 weeks at a time to ensure that you stay on pace and address any issues that come up along the way.  The goal is to keep you healthy and cross the line with your goals in hand.

Vision

I want to help you understand what proper training means and understand the WHY behind it.  There is a purpose to every workout and every single run.  There is a reason you run more miles one week and less one week. With this coaching, it is guaranteed to change the way you train for races moving forward.

My clients can speak for themselves when it comes to chasing down goals.

Check out what some of them have to say...

I have always been a competitor, but in 2013 I made the decision to decline a college athletic career and focus on my studies. It was one of the toughest decisions of my life, and until recently I was unable to determine if I made the right call or not. Although I continued to run in college for exercise, I felt like I gave up a little piece of me. In 2017 I decided to show up and run a marathon “for fun” and ended up qualifying the 2019 Boston Marathon. With little training experience and some coaxing from coaches and runners in my hometown in Mississippi I decided to take the trip to Boston in April 2019 and give my second marathon a go. It was THE toughest and most rewarding 26.2 miles of my life. I crossed the finish line with a new personal record of 3:13 minutes. My inexperience in distance running and training left my body completely depleted. Somehow….I still wanted more! I craved the competition and needed to take my running to the next level! What was next? A sub 3-hour marathon? That sounded crazy… but was it? Shortly after Boston I was living in Nashville, TN and searching for guidance in my endurance training. I needed a coach to help me reach my full potential. That’s where I was introduced to Megan! After a few minutes on the phone she didn’t even question IF I could run a sub 3 marathon but just simply asked WHEN I was ready to start. She was an icon in the Nashville running community, and I couldn’t believe she was so eager to work with me. That’s when our race together began. In December of 2019 I ran a 3:07 marathon… 5 whole minutes off of Boston and only 4 months of working with Megan. I was ecstatic to say the least, what we were doing was working. However, I don’t think anyone planned for a global pandemic. 2020 was a year of a LOT of training, and little racing. A year that was incredibly challenging for everyone but when my father was diagnosed with cancer I had the wind completely taken out of me. Lucky for me, I had running as an outlet and a coach that was not unfamiliar with the toll cancer takes on everyone involved. She was there supporting me every step of the way from scheduling virtual races to encouraging me through some of the most mentally exhausting days of my life. Thanks to Megan I logged just over 1500 miles of training injury free in 2020.  My first half marathon back was January 2021 and I took 4 minutes off my time crossing the finish line at 1:25. My dad, now cancer free, was there to see it all. Since August of 2019 Megan has written out every detail of my training, track days, long runs, helped keep my body aches and pains in check, advised me on nutrition, helped me pick races, encouraged me, mentored me, and most importantly has been a friend to me. Megan and I are still on the road to that sub 3-hour marathon and I think we are closer than ever. I love running and it has been the biggest blessing in my life especially the past two years. I can see clearly see now that my running career is just beginning. I am forever grateful for the impact Megan has had in my life as a coach and friend. COMING FOR YOU SUB -3!!!! LETS GO!!!

Here is Anna Claire after running a new half marathon PR of 1:25!  She is such a rockstar, and a-sub 3 hour marathon is in her future!

It's hard to express in words how great of a coach and mentor I had in Megan Conner. She exemplifies what it means to be a true leader, in every since of the word. Her attitude, encouragement, accountability, and steadfast positivity far exceeded my expectations, and I can't recommend her enough. My race happened to be a marathon, but regardless of what you're training for, or considering training for, working with Megan Conner to achieve your fitness goals is something you will not regret. -Joey Brown, Nashville, TN

Joey not only PR'd a couple of half marathons on his journey, but his biggest achievement was running his first full marathon in Memphis for St. Jude!

Before I started training with Megan I could barely run more than a mile without stopping to walk & catch my breath. Fast forward to less than a year later.....I crossed the finish line of a half marathon!!! She is supportive, accessible, motivating, and pretty funny. I'm so thankful our paths have crossed! -Mary Smith, Michigan

When Mary started training, her IG said "wannabe runner"... Now two 5k PR's, a 10k PR and a couple half marathons later - she is bringing inspiration to everyone through social media as a running influencer and she IS an amazing runner!

Before connecting with Megan, I had ran my fair share of half marathons, marathons, and ultra marathons. No matter how many miles a week I ran, I couldn’t seem to get my paces to drop and just assumed that’s as fast as I was ever going to be. I was in a “running rut” and reached out to Megan for a new run program. I’ve been working with her for a year now, and I’ve PR’d the last two half marathons I’ve ran. I shaved an entire minute off my average pace, and am the strongest and fastest I’ve ever been. Megan is an amazing run coach! She listens when things get hard, but isn’t afraid to push me to my potential. We’ve found what works for me, and I can’t wait to see what I can accomplish next. I wouldn’t be here without her guidance and support!! - Kelly Walsh, Nashville, TN

Kelly is an incredible runner who has crushed her goals right and left.  She has progressively gotten faster.  Kelly even got engaged during one of her last half marathons!  (She said yes!)
